Allll right kids, its that time of the year again. Here is some info:

-Outside equipment allowed, but mostly sp equipment... dont sequence on an mpc and record into a sp and call it sp!!

-Probably will be kept to 45-50 min length, first come first serve for who gets included (unless you send me some real whack shit, but i trust you guys)

-You can send me a few beats if you want, but most likely ill end up picking just one, depending on how many submissions I get

-do whatever you want stylistically/genre wise, vocals are encouraged if you have the urge

-intro/outro/intermission type ish is welcome, first come first serve on these types of tracks pretty much

-any questions post in here and ill update this list as they come up

I'm very curious to see how that Lyrical Match-up Tape turned out.

One question though, if outside gear is allowed... does this mean I can use the MV and SP combined??

I mean, if it's a tape that represents the forums, it would be a bit odd to not allow sequencing in your fav hardware sequencer.

Not saying I can't pull it off on the SP-404 though, but I would love to just use what I feel the most comfortable with. The quality would be loads higher.

yo Phem, I think that if you made a beat with mv and then applied vinyl sim to it, then it wouldnt be a 404 beat. But as long as you let say trigger 404's samples with mv's sequencer it should be ok - if that's your work process.
Of course Im not the one who decides, it's just my point of view.
But in general we should stick to strictly SP formula hehe

Vocals would be cool, I think a mixtape of variety would be dope. I was gonna make an instrumental beat, but I'll see how things go, maybe I'll bust some rhymes.
