Drewzle - It's going alright. I got all basic Bhajis stuff down, except I really need to sit down on the computer and chop samples. I'm used to going straight into my sampler 1st and then chopping there so the work flow is a bit different. I'm also lookin for a case to put my Clie in before I start to travel too much with it. At any rate Bhajis is #1 on my to-do list!

you know man, you can load in a phrase and 'chop' within Bhajis?

using the Sample Offset (aka Start Point) and Decay paramaters, you can load the same piano loop into a heap of instruments, and then use the start point and decay knobs to select which part of the loop (ie a single note) you wish to play
because all those instruments are using the same 1 sample, it isn't taking up extra memory.
also, when laying a pattern out in Pattern Mode, remember that Offset is one of the note automation/parameter-lock features. switch to that window and drag the marker to a point where you want the sample to begin playing

pre-chopping slices can be more efficient, but don't let it stop you from getting straight into Bhajis :)
