I was just wondering if anyone could help me out ,im trying to hook up my microkorg xl up to ableton so i can use it as a midi controller but it seems to be giving me problems, i.e not working.

I know this is off topic in sp forums but ableton forums and korg forums both got no responses.

thanks.

i'm running live 7 on a macbook pro snow leopoard.

how are you connecting it?

if its connected to "driver x"

then go to the preferences in ableton live, select midi and go to the bottom and turn on "driver x" midi in out and track

Im connecting it through usb, it recognizes the in and out but under control surface it doesnt come up. Not sure what you mean by "driver x" I don't see anything labeled that.

driver x would be replaced by "MicroKorg midi in" since you had USB, thats different then having a midi cable

but say you had it plugged into the 555 it would pop up as 555 midi in

you dont use it as a control surface, those are supported controllers that have auto mapping modes so you dont have to use midi

right below that you should see MIDI PORTS. thats what you want. select "track" and "remote"

if not go to korg and download the drivers

they might not support snow leopard yet
