Hello all!

I’m waiting on my sp-404 and sp-505 they are coming in the mail (from ebay).
I was a proud owner of a sp-202 (back in the day) and the sp-303….
I got tons of love for them, I have been producing since 98, went from a sp202 to a
MPC2000XL and then to just a PC (home made) now 9years later I long for the hardware again. There is something about the timing in the little bastards you just can’t get out of a PC set up (or dare I say MPC as well).

Well nuff said for now…

EZ all
:D

Welcome to the forums. I don't mean to sound all elitist or pretentious, but there's something about these kinds of machines that makes me feel more attached to my sound, like I can use them like they were a musical instrument.

Exactly, the fact that i don't have to dive into any type of menu to perform a task makes my sp-404 act like an instrument which gives it a far superior workflow than my mpc2kxl. Plus the sounds is banging.

Welcome to the board, everyone's real helpful here, no haters like FP, so if you have any questions I'm sure at least one person will have an answer.

Welcome to the forums! If you have any questions be sure to let me know.

I moved this topic from The Website-forum to Freedom Of Speech-forum since the The Website is primarily used for specific questions and news about the site itself.

I'm new too. I have an SP 202. I've been reading this board for a while, and every now and then I'm like "damn, I wish I could chime in here", so I went ahead and registered. Y'all seem like some kind people passionate about making dope music, and I respect that.

I was talking to a good friend last night and he told me that he started off with a 202 and that the timestretching was and still is among the best.

Yes it does. Do the 303 and 404 not have timestretch? The one on the 202 sounds pretty decent. There are only six effects in total on the 202, timestretch, pitch, ring mod, filter 1, filter 2, and delay. All the effects are also controlled by only one knob, which also doubles as the "rec gain" knob.

they have timestretching, but you get a whole bunch of clicks/skips throughout the thing that you stretch
