i always wondered why they called that guy hip hop, when he clearly has no genre. so what if hes at 90 bpm ish and samples rap
cool that hes going though a change but the new album isnt even close to the awesomeness of 92 vs 02 ep or preparations.

DJ + MC + Breaker + Gaffiti = Hip Hop.

I've thought a lot of sample based production technique and style had evolved from hip hop DJ'ing. That's probably why they reference DJ Premier in the article. But, Prefuse 73 is up in my top 10 for electronic music. I've listened to 'vocal studies' probably 45+ times, and I'm still like'n it.

yeah he even says hes hip hop himself


the last time id seen him in concert, he shouted out j dilla and proceeded to ask who remembers albums from illmatic to blackmoon's enta the stage to some one else, i forget. but dude is def a hip hop head
