hey dudes, esp. those around toronto....

i play in a hockey tourney every year called the exclaim cup. the teams are made up of musicians and graphic designers and artistic types, and every team has to perform a set on stage or risk being tossed from the tourney. its a great time, and when i first played (10 years ago!) there were 4 teams....now i think there are 36 from all around the country (and the US).

it all takes place this weekend up at york university's rinks. the shows are every night at the el mocombo.

the event raises money and collects food for the daily bread food bank (which is why i'm bringing this to yr attention). you can find more info here:

but there is a good level of hockey, with rink rock happening during every stoppage in play. you pro'lly know a buncha the musicians / Djs involved, and if not, will probably understand the gist of the whole fing. you know?

i play on a club called The Humiliation. if you feel like saying hey, i'm number 16 and will probably be in the box for most of the game.

just kidding. i'll probably be in an iron lung.
