Post in here all things that seem so damn obvious but nobody (no 'regular' person) takes any notice of..

I encountered a new one today:

"This call may be recorded for your security" (thats from me calling a govt. department)

How is it to my benefit that they have my call on file exactly? :? This is the most blatantly retarded excuse for invasion of privacy I have ever heard!

Now most of you being from the united states I'm sure could easily top me. . So go on . . share!

people honestly believe that money makes them free

we sacrifice our rights for the illusion of security

^haha yeah. .they passed that tax so easily!

Anyone notice how globalisation is being pushed as a solution to the current financial crisis?

The world bank is in on it (who basically forces countries to sell themselves to foreigners as a condition of loans)

And the G20 too.

I put $5 on it all being a planned reaction, just like 9/11 led to the war in iraq.

when the secret service shows up at your house looking for your old roommate FROM ANOTHER ADDRESS! then they have you take a ride with them cuz, hey, they know you ain't got no car and they know where you work anyway. all the while you just burnt a bowl and could really give a shit if E.T. had just knocked on your door.

and once they find out he is just over the tracks (i'm no snitch, he had been a real dick and put me in all kinds of shit and i still didn't give a location, i just said, i had seen him last with his stripper girlfriend and bam they said 'oh at...., they knew hella info), yeah so once i said i had seen him with that chick, they F&%$ing dropped me on the corner.

oh and i totally agree that "globalisation" is just the next step in the rich fleecing the other 96%. WTF, I am so sick power hungry fatcats, i would love to see a real revolution in my time.

aint it sad? that one world currency looks like its going to be a reality. man would i love to be a part of a real modern revolution..........but people are all talk, no action.

some say its not possible , but just like in the revolutionary war way back you need to be on an even playing field. meaning technology and equipment was easily accesible to most everyone. nowadays the tech that these governments have will wipe those opposing off the face of this earth.

I think the time is coming. . . all round the world and from people I never expected it, I am starting to hear murmurs of 'things aint right'

I think crunch time will be when they try to tag us / turn all official transactions electronic, using the chip inside you to pay etc... F**k that!

You know freedom is an illusion when....

Your lawyer tells you bold face lies so you'll cop to plea.

You do your time and still gotta pay a fee every month to hold on to said illusion.

The police think of a "legitimate" reason to stop and search you, AFTER they stop and search you.

"The liberty of man consists solely in this: that he obeys natural laws because he has himself recognized them as such, and not because they have been externally imposed upon him by any extrinsic will whatever, divine or human, collective or individual." Mikhail Bakunin, God and the State

Revolution will come and the meek shall inherit the earth. Worst comes to worse, we all have front row seats to last act of man.

everybody talks about a "revolution"with no explanation of what that would entail.it willnever be a realistic solution for mutherfuckers just to take to the streetsand cause havic, blasting every pig and politician in sight.as ridiculous as that sounds, theres somany people tht look at this as being a "revolution".in the us,anything likethis could never happen, unless maybe if its a couplehundred years from now when shit just becomescompletely untolerableand theres no other choice.all of you that just mentioned "revolution"-would YOU be willing to sacrifice your life or freedom for the betterment of generations to come?ask yourselfthat when you start the revolution talk.our biggest hope ofany kind of realistic revolution is our politicians finally realizing that the system the us has in place is far fromthe best system that could exist.sadly, whether democrat or republican, mccain,or obama, they'll both tell you that american democracy and capitalism is the best possible way a country can be run.even when looking at places like the netherlands, sweden, and even canada-who have universal health care, free schooling, super progressive social policies...and these places have realized a long time a go that to create a successful society, the children must come first.as far as a violent revolution, its just not realistic.the most we can do is live our own revolution in our own lives, find a way to live by our own rules, moralsand standards-and take every oppertunity we can to touch other peoples lives in a positive way.i'm tired of all the fake ass revolution talk, from sabac,to immortaltechniqe(who granted,is making huge efforts to help people in less developed countries, but still, its not the massive revolution he promotes)to mi.a. to whoever else is spewing revol;utionary rhettoric.our biggest hope is that the younger generations right now that have spent their entire adolescenses in war,and been exposed to the evils of our current social and political systems will be the ones in positions of power in 20-30 years.and thats when a revolution can truly happen..not violent, but ideological.but of course imnot completelyoppsed to a republican holocaust,lol...it might be neccessarry.real talk

I also think it's not possible, not anymore... not when governments like to police their people around like they do more and more these days. I mean, remember those protests throughout the US against Bush that were silenced using Humvees with a sound device that makes you puke and feel uncomfortable protesting? As far as I know it weren't even violent protests.

In the worst case scenario, this is only the beginning of things to come... Next step is imprisonment before you even have a chance to disagree in public.

Probably not. The problem isn't these minorities who (openly) disagree with what's currently going on and who áre willing to act... it's the majority of people that are more or less totally oblivious to what's going on. People that vote for politicians who then get the power to silence their own voters. Being tricked or not... such things need to stop or be stopped first. It's stuff like that that makes it difficult to fight back, even if we'd wanted to.

yeah qoutas for policeman serve as an exacting example of an F.ed-up system. this can also be seen in the federal banks, the drug wars, the lack of renewable resources, etc...

dru, i think you are right. a real revolution will need to start on the personal level. true most people think a revolution should look like the L.A. riots but i feel peaceful revolution is the only one that would work in this day and time.

there are too many people in a comfort zone that would not stick their neck out (i wonder if that phrase came from the french revolution). but on the real, you could boycott, blog, speak, rally, hold demonstrations and none of that will get you killed (at least not at first and blatantly).
