Here's another cool edit by David From Lille, one I suspect he might recently have won a battle with YouTube to get it un-restricted again (so watch it while you can).

The dream-like music soundtrack "Fascination" is by Swiss composer "Patrick Juvet", made for the movie "Laura" by the highly controversial filmmaker and photographer "David Hamilton". Laura is one of five controversial 'Coming of Age' movies he made, and this edit by David really does show how well the artistry between musician and filmmaker work together to create a truly mysterious, dream-like feeling.

Visually, Hamilton's work is as accomplished as you'd exect from a photographer of such caliber (whos books sold in their multi-millions). And audibly, if you've ever looked at "Phasers" and "Flangers" and see them as mere 'icing', then you should consider how cleverly Juvet has used them throughout this track to create the luscious dream-like effect he created here!

Not gonna lie, I'm very pleased to see this unrestricted again (it should never have been restricted in the first place). But while it's good to see stuff like this free to continue rattling the cages of the mental deficiency brigade, please do heed the following disclaimer.

DISCLAIMER:
David Hamilton's work is highly controversial, so you might want to steer clear if you're a politically corrected type, overly sensitive or just plain shallow-minded. Consider the poor dude in the attached image, he went blind for lusting after Laura, so he paid quite a price for his fixation. You might end up going blind too if you watch it!

YES, I READ THE DISCLAIMER AND DON'T MIND CHANCING GOING BLIND:

The dude in the attached image likes to "Treat 'em Mean, Keep 'em Keen". He's actually very good at it as well, which in turn results in churning-out a very fine dancer.

I love the way he teases her with domination by bringing the car up to her legs, but to be honest I thought he could look a bit more enthusiastic in bed. It's another cool edit by David From Lille so you know it's gonna be good, this time set to a catchy 90s Dance Track by Marc Cerrone.

I haven't seen this one yet, but will soon put that right!

IDEON - After The Fallout.jpg

There's so much stuff being released in the 80s-Inspired Retrowave scene that it can be far too easy to miss some of the real gems. This one for example, produced by a guy who goes by the name of "IDEON" is a perfect example of that.

Personally, I think this IDEON dude has nowhere near as much recognition as he deserves. He comes across as a bit of an underdog in the scene, and when I hear stuff that deserves to be promoted, stuff like this, I'll do what I can to help promote it.

This is a real gem, one that absolutely oozes the 80s and frankly should be in the charts and at number one (no kidding). Can you imagine how refreshing it would be to have stuff like this at number one again, to be able to turn the radio on and actually hear something like this instead of the hopeless garbage they put out?

Trust me, you're in for a very enjoyable track, so play it loud!

Damn, R.I.P. Vangelis (1943 - 2022) - To say you'll be missed is an understatement :(

My favourite albums of his are "Direct" and "Heaven and Hell", but since I cannot really decide which track of his I like best, here's "Message" from the album "Direct" because it sounds so damn epic and I kinda feel like he'd want to be remembered for epicness!

Does this SP-USER dude ever post about music that's even remotely Hip-Hop related?

Sure he does, and today is your lucky day, and doubly so because there's not one track for you to indulge in, but two (because I'm lead to believe they're chronological). Todays band was formed in Sendai, Japan by two Japanese brothers who make up one half of the band, while the other half is made up of two Canadian brothers. Interesting arrangement, sure, and due to their origins they tend to write lyrics that combine English and Japanese, but also neat are the arrangements they make which appear to be a neat, catchy fusion of Funk, Rap and Hip-Hop.

Now I could be wrong (and probably am), but I get the feeling the homies here might really like this band, and I'm not gonna lie, I'd go as far to say that one of these tracks is among the most catchy and slick-sounding Hip-Hop tracks I've heard (which one will become obvious when you hear it).

Monkey Magik + m-flo - Picture Perfect.jpg
Monkey Magik + m-flo - Picture Perfect.jpg [ 169.27 KiB | Viewed 150588 times ]

"From Sendai to the world!" is what the homie said. This is another track from Monkey Magik, this time in collaboration with a band called m-flo.

Funny, the dude wearing the dark shades sounds a lot like Ill Green, and I'll have to look into the chords and chord progression used for this one. Love it, has a smooth and melancholic feel about it, and although I've heard this sort of progression before, it seems unusual to hear it used in this sort of music, in fact I never had until I heard this one!

Another absolutely cracking edit by that 'DavidFromLille' dude, this time a look at love, life and freedom, the way life should be, and was before Klaus Schwab and his fellow mass-murdering psychopaths started destroying society.

Perhaps it will act as a trigger for people, but not holding my breath.
Either way, it's a very beautiful track!

Damn, where have I seen or heard that name "Piero Ciampi" before, I'm thinking probably one of those Giallo movies or something like that. For some reason my initial thought had to do with Saxophones, but I quickly realised I was thinking of somebody else.

Piero Ciampi was more a singer comparable to Brassens or Leo Ferrè (french singers)
