last night i played a couple of 'tweener DJ sets for this 4 piece improv jam band and i ended up playing on on a few of their songs with my 555- sweet! i ended my second set with a half timed DnB pattern and the band joined in and built it up into an epic groove. i wish someone was recording :!: the moment is gone
anybody jamming live with their SP?

Yo..

I been using the sp404 in a live setup. Mostly been triggering loops and stuff. here's a recording of a show my friend and I played on Friday night.

We used the 404, an mpc 1000 2 kaoss pad kp3's and a mixer.

Ive started doing a little bit of live/jamming type stuff. I DJd an emcee battle a couple weeks ago and did some live drumming on the 555 for a cypher. Went pretty well. Me and a couple friends are also trying to put together an all samples "band" My 555/404 and my friends have an MPC2k and SP-303. We are gonna go by the name Copyright infringement 8)

have you guys heard of Birdy Nam Nam? They're a French turntable band... you should check them if you don't know them.

Toledo eh? hi neighbor! the only real spot for digging in Dayton is Omega records. they have a very solid stash of jazz, classic rock, funk, and R&B, etc. if you happen to be in the area hit them up. i wouldn't necessarily drive two hours just to go there, but it is a pretty excellent little store.

thanks for the link oolex, i'll give that show a listen on my lunchbreak. the setup sounds like fun, i'm interested to see what you guys did with that.

and to Frantic- that sample band idea sounds dope. i hope it comes together i'd love to hear it.
