I have an 808. This 808 is both dragged in pattern mode (so I can draw in midi notes), and on the timeline as an audio clip. I timestretched the one on the timeline and it sounds very hard, but in timeline you may not draw in notes, you can only make unique as sample and then pitch it up with a knob, so as you may have guessed, this makes it extremely difficult to be on key with melody. I put the same time stretch on the pattern channel, and it is quiet. I tried making a new pattern and drawing in notes in the timeline dragged sample, still very quiet. These samples are both unlinked, i am 100% sure they didnt play at the same time, and also i tried saving the loud sample i liked, and even when played back it sounds different. Nothing on the master either. Any help please? I actually cant even work on this song anymore cuz i like that bass way more.

So you like the way that the timestretched 808 sounds? and want to play it like a bass...Right?

send the timestreched sample to a mixer channel.
add Edison to the channel
Record into Edison
Drag your new sample into the pattern sequencer.
make sure your sample has normalize checked and that it cuts itself off.

I think this is what you're trying to do..but this is worded so poorly it sounds like English isn't your first language. Let me know if this works..im not even sure if i helped you

btw if your bass sound is too quiet...maybe try making the volume of everything else lower..and just raise the volume of your speakers.

Not sure but I think image-line has forums, also I agree with the previous poster although it has been forever since Ive used fl studio...

Edit:http://forum.image-line.com here is the fl forum...there should be a lot more info on that site than the SP forums. Also you could check a youtube vid or something. Alot of times I get help with stuff from the vid poster or in the youtube comments(if your willing to navigate through the trolls and A-holes).

Yo thanks so much, just tried this, compared it with the timestretched one on the timeline and looked at peaks and they had same volume, even when linked to the same effects chain. Thanks so much man that was a good work around, i only use edison for chopping shit but i didnt kno thats how you record, it just worked. What is the normalize for? And also i made it have long start and long end so i cud chop it without the popping noise at the end and it worked. so happy right now i was mad for a while.,
