Have some thoughts in my head. Trying to sort out whether or not its doable ahead of time. Ive been playing bass a lot lately, the idea i had was to jam with a drummer with loops on the sp of melodic content triggered by behringer midi foot pedal(looks like a big effects pedal board but just sends midi notes) but ive never synced my sp to otger devices before, is it complicated? Is there a delay? Etc.

Been sequencing my 404SX via a Europa. Never bothered sequencing my 606 with anything external (4 tracks & mute groups are all I need).

The 404+Europa works awesomely! No lag or anything, midi's a bloody reliable format. Setting the midi channel will need to be done/confirmed on both bits of kit, assuming you're also on the 404SX it's no hassle. Midi's easy to align, manual page 47.

Only weird bit is the 404's bank A pad 1 is B2, not a C. That means the Europa's 1 bar keyboard starts on the 404's pad 2. That issue probably won't apply to anyone else, so no worries.

Because you're sending data to the SP, your question's more about the midi controller than SP. Can you program the Behringer's controller pads to different notes (ie set pad 1 to B2 instead of C)? Looks like the FCB1010 can do it. If I was in your position not being able to set notes to different SP pads is a deal breaker.

Awesome! Thanks for the response, ive never really delved into syncing gear up, it seems overwhelming in my head. From what i remember the fcb1010 is a bit of a pain in the ass to program but it can be customized, hopefully if all works out i can store and navigate through enough presets to enable access to all 404 banks. Thatll be a good tinkering project for this weekend!

Yo Vive!
Since my pads are very sticky on the 404, I've made a template on the mpc2500 to trigger the pads across 3 banks. I was prepared to be sitting down to a lengthy process, but it only took about 20 minutes. It's alot easier than it seems at first: right now I have my 2500 synched with a 404 and 2 synths. no lag.
