I think the use of the 404 is big form of individuality (creating music with something that most ppl don't use for creating music). It may seem gimmicky because were on the forums and see it all the time... but I think we do it because its a representation of how he stand out from the rest. So it's gotta be cool in that sense!

The 404 OG is all I ever used so I don't have anything to compare it to. I just saw an ad for it in Scratch magazine and thought "Wow! There's a sampler I could maybe afford?!"

Copped it and been in love ever since.

Gimmick and gimme. In that order. The more rediculous the cover, the bigger the gimme.
