i find drugs kill my creativity for the most part. wondering how others feel. the main reason i don't get high on the daily is i know i won't get **** done in music and weightlifting, my two main passions. i get dusted for like a week a couple times a year though.

Different people react in different ways...I feel certain drugs can be a good tool when it comes to art. Beyond that, when drugs are used for the sole purpose of getting high,or a dependency develops, that's a problem. Nothing at all wrong w responsible drug use though, especially when used to create.

Yah I think it depends on the person. I think drugs have not much effect with my productivity compared to the time of day. I always get way more stuff done before noon rather than getting a late start. I do enjoy to blaze and sip a brew while jammin out. It makes me less critical, so ill make a bunch of beats and save em to evaluate them later.

It depends on my mood mixed with the bud. Id say that there is definitely a difference, i wouldnt say its better high but, sometimes it can be better sober sometimes it can be better high.

Dont rely on the bud though, its great but the real treasure lies within your own creativity and maryJ most definitely tingles the spot.

I get too distracted when makin beats while stoned, but I enjoy it if I'm not too baked. I always think of myself as a music genius when I'm stoned.
I'd like to try making music on mdma. Don't think I'd ever want to make beats while drunk.

I have a routine for days when I have time to work on music:

Wake up early (around 5), smoke myself retarded and take a long walk through the woods without any headphones. Then, by the time I get home I'm itching to get to work, and not too stoned that I'm just staring at the machines. I think I've finally learned that alcohol and anything that requires focus does not mix. So I don't make beats at night.

But once in a while I'll get completly wasted and be making beats all night during my 'blackout'... I love it because it's a trip to hear your own music for the first time the next morning.

There's 2 kinds if people in this world. Those who can smoke weed and be productive, and those who can't. I realized I can't be stoned and productive, and I can't smoke weed without having to be high 24/7, therefore, I don't smoke weed or drink or do any drugs. I just smoke way too many cigarettes and drink a lot of Dr.Pepper
