Yeah, he has a whole gang of projects worth your attention.

His Bandcamp and the Green Llama website are good places to start.

Also YouTube him. There are endless dope videos of him performing.

Mr. Dibia$e: Yeah. Combining the two is like the best of both worlds. I hear a lot of people clowning Fruity Loops and all that. Back in the day I used to be like, “I’ll never mess with software.” I was holding myself back all those years. It’s good to use both. Once I started doing that, that’s when stuff started getting serious.

Yup. People always think it has to be all or none, hardware or software. Be open minded to the infinite potential that exists with music production hardware AND software. There is so much out there, it never hurts to try something new or different.

I agree. I like to use my sp12 with Maschine. People act like it gives them "beat cred" if they use hardware and are anti-software. Granted most time Im all hardware but I have the same respect for cats who use software even if its exclusively software. The end result is all I care about.

Some of his stuff is experimental. I'd recommend 10K, Collectin' Dust, or Swingology 101 as a starting point if you're going for the less experimental end of the spectrum. Hope that helps!

Not necessarily less experimental I just don't like the way video game beats sound. I know it's pretty trendy around here but in my humble opinion they just sound very one dimensional and rhythmless. I'll check out his stuff in a little bit when I get home. Thanks for the reference.

Thanks guys for the encouraging words and good discussion. Part 2 will go up before 12 EST tomorrow.

Very interesting. A lot of talk about production, sampling, re-sampling, etc.
