Started this thread as there's a bunch of "I'm going to XYZ, tell me where a digger should head?" threads already.

I'm headed to Tokyo & possibly Kyoto soon - who knows the good spots?

2nd. I'm going to Tokyo & possibly Osaka in Obtober, gonna do some research soon. I'll keep you posted if I find any spots online. Gotta find something awesome there.

There's a couple of Japanese members around here. JBL if you're reading this, you're based there, right?

I was over in japan in March, amazing place, found a few good places for records. Disc Union in Shibuya Tokyo was good, 5 floors of records lots of different styles, a basement full of jazz n funk.
Found a place in kawaramachi ,Kyoto called super milk, it had a worryingly big gangster rap section, there was also a place near there that specialised in grindcore/death metal/noise if thats your thing.
Theres a chain of stores called book off, they sell second hand cds/books/video games at dirt cheap prices.

Good looking out, the Disk Union site makes the place look intense. Prepared to ship back a crateload if need be. Find anything of note while in Nippon?

Sorry man ain't been on here in a while, you've probably been and come back by now. I made a few choice purchases when i was out there,

Main Source - Breaking Atoms LP
Showbiz and AG - Goodfellas LP
Pharcyde - Bizzare Ride 2 LP (double coloured vinyl)
Max Roach - Members don't git weary LP
Sun Ra - Night of the purple moon LP
Charlie Mingus - Oh Yeah Lp
Grover Washington - Feels so good LP
Voodoo Glow Skulls - Who is this is LP
Beastie Boys - Pass the Mic EP

Dropped about 70 english pounds in all but could of spent hundreds. Thing bout Japan is not the cheapness but the selection, those guys are fanatical.
