ChicagoSPecial: NICE work man, really dig the vibe! almost 40-50s jazz club downtown thing going. Btw. is that diana a 120 or 35mm model?
I have been arguing back and forth to get a plastic lens camera . currently only have "hi-fi" olympus pen f and a trip35. both really nice, but quite the opposite of lofi, ha!

Hey yellowT...

I've had a few Minolta 35mm but none have actually come close to the lofi-ness of the Diana...and yes get the 120 version...square images I figure are better for making lp cover art!... I have a holga with flash but it can't touch the Diana!...

The problem is finding somewhere to develop it iany can't do it urself.. There's only one place that does it in my city and it's by my job so it's easy for me..

Will post more tonight...keep checking

Pretty inspirational..I love film camera and "lo-fi" images. I have a holga that I bought years ago, but this thread is making me want to break it out again. I stopped messing with it, because it seemed a little tricky (how long to hold with exposure times etc..) but I want to give it a whirl again, anyone else have experience with these? difficulty level ?

They are simplest of cameras... just point and shoot...maybe adjust how far you are and on the holga its pretty simple you get picture symbols like mountian = far shot, single person = close up etc..etc..

and exposure mode is the 'b' setting or bulb mode and thats for night shots where there isnt enough light so u have to manually hold it open to absorb more light...

Cool photos. I get these in a Nikon camera, since it is the lens that is responsible for focusing the light on the sensor or film. In a Nikon digital camera, a lens focuses light on a sensor to create the correct image. Conversely, in Nikon analog cameras, a lens focuses light on the film to create the correct image. There is a cool review on Best Nikon Lens at revexpo . And when choosing, remember, the quality of the lens you put on your camera determines the quality of the pictures you can take.

Picture taken with pin hole camera. A tea caddy with a small hole. The film is a photo paper. This one was taken some year ago... The exposure time is long... This is a selfie! But my time in front of the camera was to short. So you cant really see me
