Was this year a good/bad/indifferent year? Can't make up my mind... Spent most of the year revisiting older music. Here's some memorable albums:

Wow- first name dropped was Earth. Didn't see that coming, IIII! Its good (its Earth!) but I'm still hung up on Hex & Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull... Looking forward to Angels pt 2?

Dissappointed by Ford & Lopatin- Channel Pressure. Their stuff as Games was next level retro & hard to follow, pity their sound is such a love/hate thing. Thankfully Com Truise more than made up for Channel Pressure.
Didn't get James Blake, I just can't get past his voice. I tried to like his album, but he oversings everything.
Didn't like Bibio- Mind Bokeh because he missed the point of what made Ambivalence Avenue so impressive- consistency and album flow.

Angels... is full of these really weepy strings that take everything to the next level. seems people were a bit disappointed by it. its a bit freeform sounding, lions skull was the tree trunk going up and angels like roots spreading. for me its what i've been waiting for from them, really love it.

lol hip hop really hasn't been that good this year compared to other genres, lottttta whacky shit coming out, mainstream and underground. juz my opinion tho. listened to a lot of currensy this year for some reason. i could list my fav hip hop from the year but i wouldn't stack it up against what i posted
