Got the day off tomorrow. Was gonna make a mixtape to bring into work the next day.
Wondering you guys' suggestions for what I should put on it. All instrumental stuff. No cussing in lyrics.

Lots of teebs' stuff blends in and disappears into the background, but is also really cool and fun to listen to if you're paying attention. Same goes for some stuff by david axelrod.

Or you could go full Muzak and tape some Grover Washington, mizel brothers, Idris Mohammed, bob James type ish. What is now considered smooth jazz, but at the time was really just instrumental r&b. lightly funky, offends no one, might get you thinkin about sample flips.

Or just boom bap. Who doesn't like a good beat?

Not sure if you could do this at your work or not, but it might be kind of fun to bring a mic cable and microphone, and sample something interesting you use at work, but don't think much about. Anything from a fax machine, or a forklift. If it makes a strange noise, have your SP sample the noise! If you've got a quiet sort of job, and the boss doesn't want you making too much noise in your office/cubicle, you'll have to rely on your headphones and your sp.

I'd go with anything instrumental and groovy. Too many tracks fit into that list, but it's best for work. The OST to work has no words.

I went with the Madvillainy instrumentals and that from the Further Adventures of Lord Quas.
Madlib makes the night move by so much quicker and smooth.
