no idea niq... at midnight during those years I would listen to this radio show we had called "Project Bounce" , they played all underground and local hip-hop, had great discussions. But they took that off the air in like 07 or 08. Miss that show.

Yeah you are prolly talkin Mary Ann Hobbs. Around that time I was in upstate New York, so we got some Canadian radio. A show came on late nite but I think it was only weekends "Brave New Waves" that was my shit!!! I think it got shut down. Man that program got me through some rough years. Anyone else remember that shit??

hell yeah man Brave New Waves... that's it/// i loved that shit man... i wish i couldve gotten some recordings of those nights...

so she does dubstep... i hope thats as exciting as her programs... i used to stay out later than usually after work just listening to her program.

@ TEEWOK... Project Bounce sounds dope as a name... but ive never heard of the program... that would've set my day off early if i had access to something like that on the radio... i was working at best buy around this time so our car audio dept wouldve locked in the moment i got there, lol...

Yeah if its brave new waves niq her name is Patti Schmidt. Im pretty sure you can google it and get some links to torrent downloads of old shows. A couple years ago I came across a site that had that shit all archived if I find it again ill put up a link if someone else comes across it before I get to hopefully they will put it up.

hey Niq (and everyone),

I think the confusion is btwn the BBC (british broadcasting corp) and the CBC (canadian broadcasting corp).

Hobbes introduced dubstep to a lot of us in North America a few years ago thru her podcasts.

Patti Schmidt was the host of Brave New Waves for probably a decade (it was hosted by Brent Bambury before that). Now Patti does other stuff for the CBC like concert shows and stuff. I play hockey with her.

you are right... the channel that i get the broadcasts through i think caters to multiple companies... like it's rented... cuz ive heard cbc and bbc mentioned on it and sometimes nothing but orchestra music, lol. thanks for the clarifications fauna man... been a min since we spoke... also if u do play hockey with her then you need to get your hands on some records, hehe
