I am so tired of this shit....(no pun intened) I'm awake now 'cause I just had a dream that as usual,woke me up, and was so vivid I just don't wanna go back to sleep and have another one. I was being chased by the police for some burglary I didn't do-they caught me, pulled out some super futuristic looking mug shot camera-when my picture was taken, I looked at it and what i saw was a picture of a smirking Bill Maher.WTF is that? This definitely supports my belief that many dreams we have can't just be explained by some kind of analysis, and a lot of times are just random, off the wall shit. And not that it was terrifying-my dreams are just so vivid and real, I wake up with my heart beating out of my chest,and feeling like I just went through a serious ordeal.

So I thought I'd start a thread seeing what other people think about dreams,how/if they relate to our lives-theories peole may have..and if others go through the same shit I do on a regulear basis,etc...

For years now I've had such vivid and realistic dreams it really fucks with my ability to sleep-and my desire to even wanna sleep. And while some dreams make absolutely know sense at all- I still have a lot of dreams I know are related to my past, and traumatic shit that's happened. Until my mid-20's or so I didn't have such realistic feeling,fucked dreams all the time-it wasn't until after I experienced some real heavy stuff in my life.

One of my biggest reoccuring dreams is being chased by police or some government officials-in a world that is like a "truman show" type thing and my life-along with some others-is the center of some vast conspiracy. I end up figuring it all out,and that's when the chases begin---or I just find myself locked up in some kind of institution.It can get to the point that it really fucks with me paranoia wise,and feeling like there may actually be some reality to some of our lives being monitored/controlled/interfered with way more than we could ever imagine. I also have had a reoccuring dream forever where I'm playing basketball again on the highschool team I got kicked off of(I used to be a real good ball player-the best in my class-shit,one of the best in my age group in the state-but ended up getting kicked off 'cause of grades and a racist ass coach that constantly complained about me "playing too black"-whatever that means,lol)---but no matter what I dream about,99.9 % of the time it's bad,or just completely ridiculous,but feels so real it's disturbing.I don't even remember what it's like to look forward to getting some nice,peaceful sleep,or what it's like to have a good dream. It's kinda torturous,really.

I'm also POSITIVE I sometimes dream shit that ends up actually happening in real life. I'll be in a certain situation and be like "whoa- I dreamt this shit"-it's more than de ja vu- I mean i actually remember dreaming it. Which leads me to a couple theories. One obviously is that a lot of dreams are just random shit that have no meaning whatsoever- I don't care what all these "experts" say about dream analyzation. On the other hand- I think some dreams could be a peek into the afterlife-and that the afterlife might actually be a perpetual dream-and our "heaven" or "hell" might just be a result of the type of lives we lead..and that some people we encounter in dreams may actually be spirits, people that have passed on,etc. I also think that maybe-and this is the big one-that some dreams are actually several different takes on our future lives/experiences..or our possible "destinys" depending on what choices we make and what paths we choose to take in life. This might explain the deja vu type dreams.
Idk,fuck, guess I'm just venting cause this shit really gets to me,its 1:30 in the morning,I've gotten 4 hours of sleep in two days and I'm just tired and pissed off. but I also think it makes a good topic for duscussion,(not to mention one that can't really bust out into a debate/arguement, I would hope) and I'd be interested to see what some others go through/think....No matter what, I'll always maintain that there is much more to this existance than our current lives and the physical here and now-I believe there are always spiritual forces at work and at some point,the good will end up outweighing the evil...and that there is some form of afterlife-along with some form of reincarnation as well. And I think dreams may possibly play a big part in showing some of us glimpses of this. But it's also some annoying ass bullshit,and I just wanna get some good,restful sleep like i did when i was young-lol, I miss that feeling of waking up like "damn,that was nice..." Life sucks in so many ways. Still...."...They say I lost my mind--it was my greatest mistake..My rhyme preperation's devine mediatation-look inside my eyes, find psychic revelations.."

I can only speak on experience but the dreams I get seem to be the future in a weird way. Like I had this dream where the F&B manger is coming on to me taking off her shirt and showing me breasts and kissing me. In reality, her personality is kind of frantic-like and electric and talks fast. Well the very next day I was at work and I was having a conversation with the new security guard who is a hot milf. One thing led to another and we end up in my car and she takes off her shirt and kissing me passionately riding me like a mad pony, and this woman's personality was electric too. Weird, same situation in the dream but different woman and different place.

Also when I was a kid, I use to have reoccuring dreams of New York City in a mist of an explosion and another dream where the polluted sea rised above the city and from my window all I saw was dead fish floating and tires in a greenish filth of water.

i dream of huge mile tall robots with lazers stomping towards me and then running into an underground bunker tunnel system that always looks the same i know know my way around perfectly, other times i just dream of smoking weed or drinking and I dream about girls or getting chased by hardcore dirty criminals with knives and guns but i think thats just tramau from going to jail .

i also have dreams of flying, and when fighting like 10 people that have weapons and kicking all their asses by flying around and beating the shit out of them then i get a hot chick at the end

Once in elementary school and once in high school i had the same dream. It starts off with me in philly standing under the elevated train in west philly (where i used to live). It felt like it was on some highlander shit, cause i must have been battling someone, being chased by them or something. But the dream starts with me stopping to look behind me, hearing a gun go off and watching the bullet fly from like a 100 ft away and hitting me in my forehead. Instantly everything goes white and i feel numb as hell and in slow motion. Then this black dot, from a distance,slowly gets bigger and bigger. Im still all numb and shakey like i was being electroshocked (but who knows how that really feels unless you've been shocked). Then i just wake up, all sweaty and my body feel like i just had a full body charlie-horse. Like my muscles were tightening up while i was alseep. Had this dream twice, maybe even more and i dont remember.
Dreams are amazing because it shows you how powerful the human brain actually is, thats why i really dug that movie Inception. Thought it was a bit out of hand, it was still done well and made you think.

Smoking pot before bed causes you to not dream in case you were looking for a solution to your problem.

And if you have a break from the habit you start seeing these "trippy dreams".
In last nights dream I was reading a paper and there was this headline:
"The story Hitler did not read". Wonder what it was about??

Then I went to some kind of auditorium with my daughter to listen to some lecture or something. We sat next to this older woman who said "I also have a 10 year old daughter. She's married"

i had a dream that i moved to seattle to live with my buddy out there because he had a job for me.
and the entire city was flooded.
all i could see where buildings popping out.

I have a reoccurring dream as well that really creeps me out too. I'm not really going to go into detail about it because I don't really want to put myself out there like that lol and it's kind of...I dunno....I don't want to get into it.... but anyway, I looked it up and I found something that described the feelings that would cause a person to have that kind of dream and it lined up perfectly with what I've been feeling.

The crazy part about it is usually, I dream about it almost happening. I either escape, or I wake up before it goes down. The only time I actually dream about it actually happening, the person who is causing me to have those feelings in real life is the one acting the ish out in my dream. It trips me out because they are so vicious to me in my dream but in real life they are someone really close to me. I even wake up from the dreams and immediately have to deal with them .

Yes, I realize I haven't added any more to this thread since I started it--I think mainly 'cause it really is a super serious thing I have to deal with on an almost nightly basis, and I don't like getting into it too much normally. Sometimes I spend half my day feeling like I'm in recovery mode from my dreams, so I try to forget about them as much as possible. Nice to know there's so many people that can relate on at least some level though, I've read every post on here. I envy those that can joke about their sex dreams and not remembering their dreams at all....must be nice....guess another reason I'm posting again is that I finally had a night last night without anything too tramautic, actually had a good old fashioned sex dream myself. Well,almost old fashioned- the chick had like 4 nipples. Oh well, at least I wasn't being chased by the thought police dream nazis.

Edit- about the flooding thing- I Guarantee you this won't be going down in the Seattle area anytime in the forseeable future. I would hope that there aren't people out there hoping their doomsday dreams actually happen so they can say they dreamt it.
