Thanks for listening yall. We haven't shown these tracks to anybody but you guys. We're trying to get situations worked out (label, publicist, tour) so when we release these albums (City Slick/Uncut Raw) there is a lot more behind it. Last time we did it on our own with our limited reach only a few heads knew. If you liked those, you'll like the album. I'm going to holla at Selfish to put up a couple joint. That Uncut Raw is Fire!!!!

Be on the lookout:

City Slick - The Money and His Fool
Uncut Raw - Heavy Dose

Get
Tone Liv & Vincent Price - Only Built for Timberland Boots
Remarkable Mayor - The Campaign
Dibia$e - Machines Hate Me

Peace.

Yes- the Midwest is definitely the most slept on region in Hip Hop-probably always will be due to misconceptions-espescially where I'm from-Kansas City , Mo and the state of Kansas period.

The dopest cats to me from K.C. is Heet Mob- who have done mad work with the legendary K.C. producer my man Joc Max of the Basement Chemists, and put out an ep on Chuck D's label in 05-06- and just released another one on his label --here's there first video they did for Chuck-he was in it as well..a lot of dope K.C. scenery in here too.Theres a huge ammount of other amazing Hip Hop coming out of K.C.- but few are ever given a shot on a decent label. Tech 9ne and Mac Lethal can kick bricks imo..espescially Mac- he completely shitted on his people that got him there and a lot of my good friends when he signed to Rhymesayers- as I predicted he got dropped after one album and now just has his little "black clover" imprint.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL1qdi2r ... re=related

As far as Kansas- as mentioned in a prior thread Stik Figa recently signed to Odisee's label and put out an ep "from the Top"- a refference to Topeka, Ks.-the e.p.'s completely produced by Odisee, who is one of the illest doing it right now. Stik is one of the nicest, most humble all around genuine good dudes I've ever known that's done this shit- A lot of cats fake the humble, nice guy part well-but he truely wears his hear on his sleeve and deserves as much success as possible. Heres a link to his e.p.-Features the instrumentals and acapellas too...

http://oddisee.bandcamp.com/album/from-the-top-ep

Edit-I shoulda mentioned my people Archetype from Lawrence, Ks. as well-Nez,the producer for Archetype is really the main person that got me back on the mic- and gave me some shine on both his production album, and the last Archetype album "Bleed for Them"-which was re-released not to long ago in Japan, and in the u.s. as well on Dakagon records- I.D.- the m.c. for Archetype- also had a project with Sleeper of Lawrence that was released on Mush records. He's one of the illest lyricists i've EVER known.Nez also financed my album "Dying on my Feet"-but we never really put enough effort into trying to promote it. Here'sa link to snippets of "Bleed for Them",including my interlude-you can find mad shit by them with a simple google to though.-

http://www.undergroundhiphop.com/store/ ... DEKA5443CD

Also,lol,--Sankofa from Fort Wayne Indiana- He was named in Urb magazines "next 100" in 08...but still has never got a huge ammount of shine-another incredibley talented m.c. from the midwest-I posted a link to "Tortoise Hustle" a few posts above this. He's another really good dude..and put more work into promoting my last album than I did, which is really kind of embarassing, lol, but speaks volumes for his character...He actually works as a middle school teacher, really good people.

But as much love as I have for K.C. & all the early memories from Kansas
I moved to Seattle mainly just to be in a more diverse, open minded city, espescially when it comes to music, art & politics - plus to hopefully someday eventually make more than just some cigerette money doing this,lol..and to go to filmschool, which I'll be starting soon. Me and my girl also just signed the lease on a house in beacon hill we hope to raise our 3 girls in- mad excited about that. Also as much talent there is in the K.C. scene- there's a huge ammount of elitists, & a lot of cats are mad two faced & clicky. And K.C. is really run down, can be a real bleak, depressing city, and is extremely segregated- the police dpts in both kc mo,and kck are notoriously some of the most corrupt in the nation as well. But don't sleep on K.C. & Kansas hip Hop,for real..and the Midwest period. We'll never get the shine we truly desreve.By the way- In case anyone is thinking "Here he goes writing a book again"-I'm going into so much detail because very few people know about all the talent in this region(k.C/Ks.) or all the accomplishments cats have made from "these here parts"lol.People still have wizzard of oz syndrome for whatever reason.

bwahaha- wait, who are you again? I love it when cats say some blatently offensive shit, then come back with a "take no offense, blah blah". But yea,-i'll take your advice into consideration. At the same time I don't spend multiple hours a day/week-or any at all- on bandcamp,facebook,soundcloud,etc,etc-like some of you, so my internet usage is really extremely minimal. If I'm not mistaken, it was both me and D going back and forth w/ different viewpoints-not sure why I'm the one "posting too much". & you're still coming on some 3-4 days later to add your little 2 cents about ME....what's that about exactly?(That was a MAD funny post btw-definitely worth all the smilies man)But I still stand by everything I said-and I'm positive I'm not the only one on here-or wherever else- that feels the same. And again-it wasn't even that deep of or serious of a thing in the first place. If Madlib didn't like who he was performing for,and wanted to alienate a very small tiny portion of his followeres,so the fuck what? I thought it was pretty dope, and just funny. Like someone said at the begining of this-"I'd pay to watch madlib talk shit"-and play a lot of ill beats at the same time-espescially if the majority of the crowd were anything like the abercrombie fitches jumping around in the first 2-3 rows at this show. fuck- there I go starting the thread back up again. And here I was just logging in to start posting up the joints for the next battle.

TG!!!
