here it is in japanese:
http://www.shimamura.co.jp/funabashi/index.php?itemid=27393

looks like 1 bank has 16 patterns, or parts; in this one bank you have a limit of 64000 events recorded or 16000 per pattern (same as sp-404sx). eight user banks with 160 seconds available per bank. battery powered. realtime recording??? 1-99 measures, 48khz quality(24,12,6 also available), 96 ppqn, midi in and out, 16 polyphony.

ok, here goes some bad translation but i think one pattern can have 36 samples and there are 36 red lights so maybe we can turn parts on and off in realtime?

MAYBE the looper from the kp3, but not so sure about that one, too much kanji, head will soon explode.

oh and it looks like you work in the pc and import export via usb. so this might be a usb controller. at first i was curious but now i know i will buy one.

It might function as a USB controller, but first and foremost this is a sampler. It is battery powered after all! If you watch the video demo of the japanese beatboxers you can see this is meant to be a "live-on-the-fly" machine/looper much like the kp3. It's still early to say for certain, but I feel all the computer stuff is just an added bonus to make our lives easier. I think we'll be lucky to see this retail under $500usd.

saw a jap price on a webstore, 49,800 yen... pretty nice price really, although I think I'd get a 2nd kp3.

I wanted a keyboard sampler when i bought my 404. Really glad someone is making a modern one. If this thing is up to snuff the 404 may just be ebay bound. We'll see.

also note the sequencer resolution(480 parts per quarter note) is greater that the mpc1000/2500(96 parts per quarter note) so it'll be more accurate when playing without quantize.

hi
finally 2 videos that explain vey well what this machine can do.
really interesting.
maybe someone has yet cited the ensoniq asr-10? it seems like a mini version of that glorious machine...
has it only pitch fx or a real pitch function?
anyway how many cm and kg are this please?
W x D x H: 20.31" x 9.37" x 2.56"
Weight: 4.19 lbs

how much sampling time? s.d., c.f. or smartmedia or nothing at all?

the battery power thing is a dope fact...

its a keyboard sampler

it has to have pitch, or else why put it out? you press a "keyboard" button and it maps out to the keys

the specifications are on a different tab on the US site.

some weird design choices though...the knob inlays on the effects...and the fact that you switch patterns in a linear way with a knob?

that means no sp-style song building unless you build your patterns sequentially , no biggie but still a strange choice over a shift function
