as for making money ~

work hard,
be patient,
be disciplined.

Ya word, being 18 is tough! Work hard and go to school if you can. In the time being grab a job at the grocery store and set-up a payment plan at your local music store for low monthly payment. Bought my mpc2000xl brand new when they were the newest joint that way for like 2grand back in the day. Funny I spent the same for a mpc2000xl back in the day and now that much will get you a tempest!

During my university days, I used to make mixtapes with the latest Hip Hop and RnB and throw in my stuff in too. I would sell them at $10 dollars a pop and make about $200 a week. Was a good time then because internet was just coming out and my boy from NY would mail me all the latest music that wasn't even out yet in Puerto Rico so my product was unique. Money went into a shitload of gear and weed

For a long time i've wanted to start buying music equipment on craigslist,at goodwills, garage sales,etc...and flipping them on ebay-for some reason i've been lazy on getting this going...but anyone could really generate some signifigant income after doing this for a while.once you get in the position of having maybe 10 or more pieces of gear for sale at any given time-even if you're making as little as $25-50 proffit on some items,it would add up to some good money...of course you could do this with all kinds of merchandise, but for me music equipment would be ideal since it's one thing i know a lot about. If only i was mechanically inclined enough to recondition things, then i'd really be in business. But for real-this is a pretty easy way to make some extra money-things always go for less on craigslist than they do on ebay.I always get pissed when i watch that show "american pickers"or whatever its called on the history channel, lol,i'm like these two douches are making a LIVING buying a bunch of useless crap out of rednecks barns & attics-reselling everything for a proffit as is.I don't know, might try to get started by selling my dr-202 i got for 50 bucks.I think the best way to go though would be muti-track recorders, mixers,& maybe mpc's.Most decent sized cities always have at least a good handful of mp's, mixers & recorders on craigslist every week.

Hi all,

Just wanted to note I removed some spam posts here earlier. Not sure anyone replied to them, but with those spammy posts removed it may appear people replied to each other rather than than to the spammers. Again, not sure that happened but wanted to point that out nevertheless.

Ha ha yea man, find a sideline income and don't get into debt.
You will end up paying double for something and kick yourself for it later.

Work with what you have just now. When you finally get the 404 you will have more skill because of putting the time into the 202. Listen to bluzer on soundcloud he just uses the 202 and his beats are dope.

I stopped using the comp to make beats as it caused so much creative block due to having so many programs and choises.
The limitations of sp's make my mind think about working round them and the beats seem to write themselfs now.

If you do take the above quoted advice deliver pizzas for your cover

But selling mix tapes is a far better idea.
Don't want to send you down the wrong path. I'm working on importing quality wine from Germany to Britain as my girl know some people who owne vineyards there.

selling cds can earn a good living, my homey fux used to do it 9 to 5 out side the cd store and make a killing, hundreds a day some days tho we just give the shit away, making money online is almost impossible unless you know exactly what you are doing, get old books of how to make money online, they help alot more than newer ones, dont ebeg, because it will embarrass you later on when you google your self. go to a big city and sell fake crack and then get the fuck out of town and dont come back till you grow a beard and gain 10 pounds.

you can also find shit in alleys and garbage cans and sell it on eBay,

or buy cheap shit at thrift stores and sell it on eBay or Kijiji or craigs list.

The SP-202 was my very first sampler and I still own it. Remember, you make the music, not the equipment. An SP-202 doesn't have a sequencer so I used an 8-track version of pro-tools to sequence my tracks. iN regard to finding a job, apply everywhere. Even the places you don't want to work at. Some money is better than no money!
