its not spam, i downloaded them filthy hits last night and made a MV patch, Some nice shit in there, very crunchy. Only banged em in the headphones tho, but ill be blastin em through the monitors tonight to see the real deal. So many fucking kits too, dayuum. I got lost and just clicked down the list in the fruityloops browser till i heard something i liked, then id drag it into another foler. after going through like 500 hits, i had another folder of like 200 hits i liked. Muchos props! Its always nice to get a new happy snare drum waiting to be played around with. I dont like resampling drums, i just like layering them keep em coming.

I will say there's a whole lot more bullshit on that forum than ours but I'm not gonna knock the whole thing. There's always some turd-nuggets mixed in and you just gotta ignore them. There just happens to be a lot more members of the mpc-forums so there's a lot more turd-nuggets... I still find useful information on the site though, and there's a lot of cool, helpful members... but damn I don't stay there very long unless I'm going through the "Show us your MPC3000" thread... god damn that thread...

In your case that seems really shitty, I think it's due to them having some.. uhm... stoopit moderators. I saw one posting the other day I thought it was just one of those asshole elitist members but it turned out being a mod, pretty sad. lol

i've checked out mpc forums a handful of times. yeah, seems a little pissy. makes me
a)appreciate this place, and
b) realize how important politeness is in sharing information and furthering the cause.

does seem like archives would be a helpful resource, though.

complete aside: was i reading somewhere that that forum beget this one (not that that matters)?

and obviously I and everyone else at this forum know what your deal is (making sweet drum libraries and sharing them with other people), but

I think mpc-forums caters more to veterans and this place more to amatuers, hobbyists and people just getting their feet wet.

BUT sp-forums is getting cliquey. you've got groups who only respond to their friends now. and in the your music section there are so many 0 or 1 comment threads. I try and take a listen every so often and make a comment but only have so much time with what's on my plate here at home.

so if we don't support our noobs and we make cliques where others are ignored or bashed,
then we're really just a few twenty page flame threads away from mpc-forums.

.MPC-forum is a pretty big place with lots of people, a lot of whom got the gear their heroes got, and can't figger out why they don't sound like them. They're impatient, and it's also why a lot of peeps don't read the manual. They wanna get at it, but don't know how, often.

There's more drama, and a couple of hilaaaaaarious dudes, but IMO a lot more dudes looking to put other people down.

I donno that I agree w/ the always awesome JBL, cuz I'm just not around as much as I used to be, but I do know that this is the most supportive forum I've been on. And hope it stays that way

i almost regret speaking my mind on this because it cringes me to come into this thread, also it is a good lesson for everyone, you delete my shit I call you out on the mothership, I dont want to abuse my power of free speech, i removed the harsh words spoken towards the admins over there, and hopefully we can push our agendas forward with out bothering about this anymore.

Guess I'm just taking it the wrong way. But for starters, the Kung-Fu kids seem so aggressive and into their style but I never see them giving props to other styles but then again (like fauna says) I don't see all that much on this forum anymore cuz I'm just too busy. And don't get it twisted, I love me some Kung-Fu breaks and we have some really talented dudes posting.

It's whateva... I won't delete my post but I guess I'm just out of the loop.
Sp-forums rule.

I'm honestly more of an MPC head than a SP head but I sticks around here because ya'all are quality.

MPC has some good business (the tips and tricks threads are bom diggity) and there are core members who I think are just tired of a noob coming in every 5 minutes going "JUS BOUGHT MY FIRST MPC 500, HOW I MAKE DUBSTEP WOBL?" & "HOW I MAKE DILLA BIEATS?" so their jaded attitudes are not excusable, but more understandable.

The "custom mpc" threads are lol-tastic.

Is this the start of an MPC v SP beat war!? Tupac n Biggie all over again.
