Many of the features like sample copy, pattern copy, compact flash card size limit and of course the real pitch function CAN be implemented without even touching the hardware. These things are pretty easy to code even for me so if I could get my hands on my ... ups sorry forgot I sold mine just because of these little flaws.

Speaking about Mike Acosta, I think you should all know by now that Mike is ain't down with Roland no more. They let him go because of the economical situation and stuff, but he'd still would help with some of the design aspects of the next Roland instruments. So really currently no one can hear us.

Yup, that would be awesome. Those pads are really a huge improvement over the 404 and 555 pads.

like most heads said better pitch shiftin, but heads make it work someway.lol and a better resamplin feature where u can resample at least 4 buttons at once. when i try resamplin 3 things at once it bugs out and stops samplin. but that would kill the game. and i wish the reverse feature was like the 303 where it reverses where the sample is playin and not start at the beginning. copy pattern takes awhile to get used to but once its second nature u navigate through that quickly, but an easier copy pattern feature would be nice. BIG UPS TO THE SP ARMY!!!!

if the 404 had pitch and a multitrack sequencer it would be great - even four tracks like the almighty 505 would suffice and be a major improvement on an already great little box.

in fact a lot of the feature requests ^^ are things that some boxes in the sp- series have a bit of, but there isn't one that has ALL of them. which is weird. but we've been over that a billion times.

Not in the SP series, but the MV series is pretty close having it all though.

Of course, one major flaw in the MV in my opinion is the fact that it sort of doesn't have more than 3 simultaneous effects, two of which will always be reverb or delay / chorus.

I'd like two more MFX on top of that and perhaps a slightly faster MV and it would be sampling heaven.

I guess perhaps Roland wants their SP customers to buy more than one piece of equipment?

i dunno i think they would have to sacrifice quality for more effects

and i love the super filter...pure analog bliss. no stepping in the filter when you sweep at all
