Anybody like Boards Of Canada, Tycho, etc?

boc are awesome. their remix of oddnosdam's stuff is incredible.

tycho is great! i like 'science of patterns' especially.

you heard Xela? he's awesome...

that same sort of vibe: saroos, helios, some fourtet stuff, geskia, glen porter's "i alone" is similar-ish, and "muted" by Alias is a monster in this sort of style....

add another for Farina's Mushroom Jazz collection... those are some smooth-ass mixes. Very inspirational stuff.

I'm gonna have to get up on some of these others... 8)

i guess i'd call it electronica with a strong hip-hop influence...i love ambient and dub styles and try to mix those in too :)

i would probably say electronica is the broad term cause trip hop is hip hop drums with electronica sounds n ambience n its a sub genre of downtempo technically so yea long winded explanation aside lol "electronica"

So much down-tempo kinda blends all over the place now a days, depending on the artist... from very ambient/dub inspired to glitchy but still down-tempo. I love BoC!

EdIT - The first album, "Crying Over Pros" is really tight!
Telefon Tev Aviv - just sick!
Alpha - The first release "Come To Heaven" is timeless.

just to add a few... so many more tho! :)
