Hey guys, I have been making music for years and have had some collabs, but i never upload stuff because i feel like im not good enough. I also annoy the crap out of producers over their facebook pages (i inbox them and talk to much) and also at school, or when im out with friends and i meet someone that makes beats, i get too excited and talk so much. I come onto them too strong because its rare for me to find someone offline who has these intersts, and then they just get annoyed and weirded out. I also am paranoid and have made like 3 soundcloud accounts, because whenever someone doesnt reply to me i take it as an embarassment, and then i keep thinking i will get made fun of in the future. Evverytime i make a new account i try to control myself online and not act like a dumbass. Any tips? i kno this is kinda off topic but u guys always got that gold advice. PCe

It's okay to be enthusiastic about what you do, but if you're coming off like you're just looking for something from someone else, you're not going to get a collab. I mean, I put out an offer to make a beat tape and I got 2 people interested and nothing came about from it. Whereas I've done multiple collabs with people I've got mad respect for and who respect me. If you get that familiarity and mutual respect, those collabs will happen. Just don't expect complete strangers to jump into a collab situation with you.

Also, why the hell you got 3 soundcloud accounts and upload nothing at all?

Just relax and make music. Let things flow naturally.

word.

Fuck it be you, be enthusiastic , be weird, be yourself, its a positive thing to be enthusiastic. Yeah some people may get annoyed but some will like your enthusiasm. Don't worry about it, make what you enjoy making.
