When I got booked for my first show as a beatmaker I was told I needed to come up with a name by 7pm that night so the guy booking the show could make the flyer(this conversation happened at about 5:30). I had no idea what to call myself and started flipping through a dictionary. I was looking up terms related to quantum mechanics and found Qui Vive. I don't have that particular dictionary anymore but to paraphrase it was something like this "The sentry's challenge, to stay watchful and vigilant in case of the enemy." Later a woman I was seeing looked it up and found a second definition for the same spelling that was "Which side are you on?" I like both of these and when people ask what it means I usually tell them both and to associate the one they like more to my music.
I regularly think about changing it though because I get sick of explaining the name and pronunciation. I usually pronounce it Kay Veev, but I'm sure you can imagine the crazy things people say based solely on reading it.

I really like the idea of doing a bunch of different tapes under different meanings of HS, that is a rad idea!

Amable is a spanish word meaning "nice". I chose this name as I am referencing the slang use of the word "nice". It also contains the two english words "am" and "able". People always pronounce it differently but in the end, they seem to remember it.
