It sounds like an old cassette tape played after 20 years in the storage. There was alot of panning and muffled signals. I don't know if thats what you intended but it sounds like a wrinkled cassette playing.

Other than that, I dug the vintage sounding synths you got there and the female vocalist brought me back to the 80's which is a good thing. Could definitely use some low end to beef it up.

thanks!

yeah it was supposed to sound like an old cassette. I am glad you picked that out. I use the filters on the SP 555 a lot which helps with that kind of sound. I hear you on the bass thing, but if you download the track and not just stream it, the bass is much deeper. It was mastered in a nice studio. Also the bassline was turned down a little to emphasize the kick drum.

Next step is getting some more synths so I have a bigger variety of sounds. I obvously love the 80s and I would love a Juno but the next one might be Virtual Analog, just for varieties sake. A Prophet-5 is obviously my dream synth though!

I am working on a new album right now and using the FM8 by Native Instruments a lot, it is a versatile synth once you figure out the interface. Both subtractive and FM synthesis.
