so i'm trying to improve my mixing skills and i have refined this track to avoid certain frequency clashes it had before. i actually didn't make this one on the sp-404 but i'm trying to get feedback anyway so i can improve on my overall sound. what do you guys think?

"A Point"....On Point, sounds nice and clean....small touch of reverb giving it a lil more presense but not overwhelming....kick has a nice thump and still shows thru the bass without conflict... think it sounds good overall...nothing special/crazy...try messin with compression maybe?

The beat itself does sound a bit generic...but thats me...

Its all about how you want it to sound and persuading the listener to enjoy it equally...keep it up...

so whats so generic about the beat what do you mean by that? i thought it was actually one of my better beats. frequencies don't clash? that's what i was most concerned about...it wasn't supposed to be a real special crazy song. just mellow, original, and yeah. so do you think there's anything else to add or work on with this song?

Not putting you down by any means...Mix=good...Beat=generic...i feel like you used stock sounds/drumkit on this one...frequencies are straight tho

I actually liked the trippy time loop beat you did earlier better than this one...

As for adding anything...if you feel this is the best beat by mezzo than keep it the same bro...i would just add a bit of compression

Soundclouds website is down right now....WTF

yeah it was more stock sounds, but i tweaked with the sounds regardless. made sure every snare hit was slightly in a different variation or pitch.

thanks man. appreciate the feedback. i think i will stick to this final version i'll end up with...
