the roland D2 is a strange machine. potentially speaking is a really great synth+fx(almost kaoss pad)+drums groovebox, but in reality if you haven't something to drive and play it it sucks. if you don't have a midi keyboard (i use also the little beast yamaha qy70 to do it)you cannot write much notes. the sequencer is ok, the quantizing very good. the fx are nice, controlled with this big pad, but the other functions, interesting indeed, are sometimes hard to find or play for all the 7 parts together. the sounds are versatile, that's (also) why i bought it:you got almost the electronic sounds of the '90 there( d'n'b, trip hop, acid, funky jazz, 2 step, house, hiphop etc) and the sounds of roland drums also (808, 909, 606, the tb 303 etc).

after listening to Soul Deep, it came to my mind that that track might be a great movie soundtrack...like for the next Quentin Tarantino film :mrgreen:
