Hey there was wondering what other mucical / non musical devices you guys use to make your beats ? . As for me i'm kind of new to all this , despite spending 15 years of my life working for various record stores. I use a pair of Pearl elite bongos , an Alesis micron synth , Boss br 600 Digital 8 track , Epiphone sg guitar and of course my 404 . And one day soon i will mke a complete track !

I just use the 404 now, but I like merging it with FL Studio and the M-Audio Trigger Finger.

Reason, FL Studio, assloads of VST's and Renoise on the software side. As far as hardware goes I only have a little zoom drum machine atm. In the past I've used the SP-404, SP-303, Yamaha AN-200, Akai S20 (wish I still had one), and an ASR-X Pro. I got a cassette recorder I use to grunge up samples n loops, and I make loops on my PSP with PSPSeq, PSP Rhyttm, LSDJ, and Nanoloop. Mind you I haven't really been into making anything for a while aside from the occasional 30 minute session of just fucking around. I'm kinda just building a little loop library of my own shit in preparation for the next sampler I buy.
