First of all, nice beat (as usual) BUT I wouldn't have used quantize on the shaker... You can bring a lot more swing to that shit if you place the shaker above the snare without quantizing; so that every snare hit sounds a bit different. I always try to play percussion sounds unquantized cause of the groove but it's just my way. I often use quantize to place the first kick of a bar and sometimes on snares too. It all depends on what kinda shit you're working on... make your experiences with that quant. shit and I'm pretty sure you'll get it in no time...
Can't believe that all your shit was unquantized before...

its pretty cool. i mean you could do so much to that sample. fuck wth the efects resample it in lo fi make it sound gritty that shit would sound filthy as fuck. the thing it took for me to learn is to not worry about the patterns to much. pretty much make loop with bass and maybe a sample for background and then start freestylin shit on the pads. fuck with effects on the freestlye shit with slicer and shit and just keep it interesting. this track (unlike your others) was pretty bland. anyways have fun with that thing man. how is the 555?

please please PLEASE dont take this in anyway bad i remixed your track to give you an idea/exmample of what else you can do with the sp. i layed 2 different types of hats one i sample twice over put a delay on one and the other is on its own all done freestlye aka no quantize you get a better feel. and try shit like that with delay on your hats on simple kick snare drum patterns still sound amazing! and its easy to do. then i grimed up your sample with vinyl sim chorus and resampled it like 5 times with vinyl sim and in lofi so that it fills up the sample so there isint all those blank spots. then i just through big l over top for some extra shit. i didnt feel like find some sample haha and this was on my bank. anyways im not trying to say this sounds better im just showing you what type of shit you can do to make up for say this sample being so empty. i feel its now got alot more to the sample than it did before no? it sounds more full, i mean you dont have to do it this way, i just like this type of sound. but there are a thousand ways to change the sound of anysample, and make it sound different etc. its a great sample you found/made and this is one way to spice things up and what makes the sp so great. whenever i make or find a sample i usually always go through all my favorite effects and resample it like five times and if i dont like it i just go back to square one. anyways yea man try it out, fuck with everything!

once again no disrespect to your track im just giving you ideas with the sp to help you learn. i really do like your other beats alot and i dont want to disrespect you. later man! and wax inspector your beats are dope too
