Been working on doing a collaboration album! Would love to hear peoples thoughts! I’ve been using the 404 mk2 as a quick way of getting down ideas, once ots complete I send it to her and she lays down vocals, the. i rerecord them ss individual tracks in reaper! The way ive been saving time is by panning a beat hard left and bass hard right in the Mk2, record in reaper and the.add whatever else, usually guitar running thrugh the MK2 amp simulation! Would be great to hear how you guys think its sounding and what could be improved!

Great stuff. Esp love the background ghosty vox.

Only thing that came to mind personally would be pushing the distorted guitar of the chorus back in the mix a bit, specifically by making it sound a bit more distant, thinner and glitchy, like bad tape. Downward Spiral type thing. Might be wrong tho.

Also maybe layering the drums with a heavier break for the chorus too. Bongo In The Congo, no, I mean, Last Bongo In Belgium by the Bongo Brothers came to mind, which would probably be a bit cliche, but that's the break that popped in my brain box.

Also, arrangement-wise, at the end of the 2nd chorus, after she sings 'rear it's ugly head', i'd have have a couplafew bars of just the drums and bass as the rest dies out, then the drums cutting to two beats of silence before the chorus either crashes in OR the vox come in alone for a couplafew beats before everything else does.

Can't try those myself tho, obviously, so it's just in my head and maybe none of it would work, lol.

My 2 pence.

Thanks for listening man! Will try some of these suggestions!! I did another mix actually after she posted this where after the instrumental mid section the vocals just ring out with no music before kicking in to the final chorus. Really appreciate rhe feedback!
Been busy making tracks together so havent been in the battles for a while but hopefully jump in on the next one! Thanks again for having a listen and the constructive feedback!!
