sup,

here's a link to my music...
https://soundcloud.com/n8000/sets/all-ah-dem

Ever since I joined this forum, I've felt challenged to make. Whether good or bad, the sp series is, in my opinion something that will challenge me to create with found, stolen and conjured sound for some time to come, on scatter brain.

Cheers to those that have found themselves at home with sp's and to those who are discovering the challenging magic of these devices (and that dig through the crates and other devices they own)

Feedback about what is nice and otherwards not nice about my shit is welcome...n shit

first off i got to commend you for making progressions. I can't for the life of me bother myself to wrap my head around how i'd go about that. You using the sequencer or resampling?

Isn't going to get you on brainfeeder and touring the world or anything but those guys are using all of those daws and stuff anyhows. If this was made in a way were you could sequence it in a live setting and do all of that performer stuff you could probably make a cool set out of it.

My dude, thanks for the commandment. I think any progressions I make come from some musical background and enjoying some prog. rock and being a bass dude in bands, but its all for sure just there. I have no theory knowledge beyond 8th grade and some practice with the bass grimoire or my music would be undeniably dope..maybe. I used to use the pattern sequencer but got into resample method after joining this site. Resampling has been a much more fun and challenging way to make beats cause you need to be "on" I think I have more practice to get in with it.

Brainfeeder schmainfeeder! All due respect though, some of my favorite contemporary artist are part of that collective and LA simply is a magnet for and produces established artist. I lived there and it takes a type. Otherwise, I'd still rather make my own thing. We are in the era of "make your own thing" or "connect with others and make y'alls own thing". Being in between generations x and y is a weird place and I think things have progressed on to generation Z anyhow...
It'd be awesome to be a touring recognized artist at my age, but all that belongs to those that get there. If I want to be that good, I'll have to make some sacrifices and or dedicate much more time that the salary life doesn't allow.
Either way, I am glad that you can hear something in my work that says "If this was made in a way where you could sequence it in a live setting and do all of that performer stuff you could probably make a cool set out of it."
I've messed with DAW performance stuff in ableton, but it still requires a considerable amount of time and dedication that isn't there right now or I need to make the time. I may do a couple of sets putting the relative stuff together.
You'll be one of the first I share it with, homie  !

For real Jovi, thanks for your reply and comment.
Be well homie!
