digging it- Blunt'd track- previous tracks were a bit "loose" you might say- I like the textures and mellow almost downtempo vibes. Keep it up.

Thanks for checking it out! Yes, these were very sloppy as I kept on running into polyphony issues. And it was hard to play a bass line without the loops playing

You can record a mono mix of key elements and make bass line to that then delete mono mix. Did you use the Pattern Sequencer or resample method?

I used the resample method. Never really tried the pattern sequencer.

Ya you gotta work with the limits and prioritize what is most important to you, tight tracks or stereo elements that are not tight.
:)
Unless of course you want to dump tracks to a DAW and so forth.
i often find myself wanting to keep certain samples stereo but end up having to make them mono to get the track done. I actually made a mistake recently and ended up resampling/working on the track for 3 or 4 generations before i realized I had gone mono for the whole track- was bummed and ended up adding some stereo effects. It was this one:

Word, it still sounds pretty good to me. Is mono just decreased sound quality then? Maybe I should invest in something like a tascam 6 track so I can do overdubbing whilst recording which would make it easier to play drums over my tracks and keep everything on beat

damn u made this OUT of the pattern sequencer. NICE!!

I only did that once on the TRACK COBWEBS Thought it was easier still have kept it in the sequencer since then. Definitely gonna try it again though.

No not really quality but sort of (you can have 96kHz/24bit mono file but will still be mono), you just have one channel of audio so there can be no panning or any stereo imaging- hard to explain but stereo effects sound much more rich and lush in stereo. If you use a DAW there will be an option to listen in mono or to render a new mix as mono- try it and you will hear the difference.

Hey Rocky, if you are talking about the track I posted no that is an example of how I ended up in mono by mistake and had to add stereo effects to try and improve rather than redo all the takes over again.

Here is one I did all in the 404SX sequencer though (used a Korg PadKontrol to do rolls and velocity changes):

pretty sure this one is all PS too-

My track descriptions will all say whether I used PS or resample method in the description. I am going to make sure- I think that is good info for peeps to see. Thx.
