i got an mpc 1000 2 days ago, this things a BEAST especially with jjos2 i think ill be using the 404 a lot less from now on...

i sequenced the 404 with the mpc so i could use the samples already in my 404 but use them with the mpc sequencer and separate all the different tracks just to see how it all works. i seemed to be able to trigger alot more pads/samples then i would using the 404s sequencer or the resample method.

to do it just connect the midi out 1a port of the mpc to the midi in on the 404, then select a midi track 1a on the mp then hit the note repeat while holding shift so its locked on to note repeat (saves you constantly pressing the pad) hold pad 1 on the mp then highlight the midi note that pad one is sending then turn that number down or up till its triggering pad 1 on the 404. then repeat these steps for each mpc pad. then take off note repeat

i made this beat using this method while adding more samples over the top with the mpc, i used the 404 comp and also the mpc mastering comp..
