I did a track for this up and coming artist from brooklyn ny (Dirty DaMa) entirely on the sp-555 through the included sonar le. From beat creation (sounds came from an very old psr keyboard i had since a teenager) effects and of course vocals. The artist was shocked to see such a minimal setup. He thought I was using an mpc and protools!!?? After the session the data was tracked out to individual stems and sent to get mixed by Cooper Anderson (Kanye West, John Legend ) and mastered by Jim Cheadle (Dj Jazzy Jeff, Don Cornel). You can hear the track here:

honestly!
the rapping and the hook are very good BUT i felt you needed a break. i.e. it was a little monotonous for me. maybe a little a buildup and then some close of sorts.

check this at about 2 mins theres a break that keeps it a little interesting

don't get wrong the beat is raw, i like it a lot. just felt i was waitin! maybe to much influence on my mind. keep it money.

you don't get a lot of comments cause' that site you used doesn't work on a lot of operating systems, for example mac.

Just use zshare to upload stuff.

I have yet to make a complete beat using Sonar, but my goal is to fully understand this program ( once i get it to run properly on my computer... i'm having some stutter in my audio playback since upgrading).

inhouseprducer,

The monotonousness sound isn't that much of a bad thing with this song. The rap was good and it did fit good all in all. Still, yeah, perhaps a break would have been nicer.

I did miss some more filler drum rolls or extra noises / effects / sounds things like that, but the main switch the song got from the refrain was good enough for me.
