It's been a while since I've last posted a beat / instrumental, but I'm looking for some critique here. Any things you guys notice straightaway that sounds off?

hey phemox
glad to see you on here

nice track, i dig the old school vibe and that guitar is soooo groovy good
i think the other instruments sound a bit too synthesized for my taste though
could possibly use some sidechaining, but that's a taste thing
great stuff!

it sounds like a soundtrack from some police film
saying that: i feel the drums a little detached from the rest and the guitar a bit "weak" (maybe add some more reverb or a bit of distorsion more).
wellcome back man, anyway!

Thanks guys, good to be back. Its been a while. Good idea I should try and do sidechaining.. Yeah I know what you mean with the drums sounding detached. I'll have to look into that. As for synthesized, you mean the programming itself right? Yeah, noy exactly realistic, but I'm trying lol.

Did you use software and no sampling?
Interesting harminies. Sound like chord without the ters/major third?
After been listening to lo-fi beats for some days I think theres a bit to much reverb. The music seems distant. Nice listening.

Thanks. I'm not using software at the moment, just the MV and Sonic Cell. I do agree that there's a lot of reverb in there. Its one of the MFX active on almost all channels. Do you think the guitar sounds the most distant? I think I need a better pre-amp to record the live guitar stuff.
