But on the real deal Holyfield I got a new beat with a Blackalicious acapella from "The Sky Is Falling". Plus I watch Dame Chocolate and Sabador Gigante when I smoke the purple kush.

I think the kick on 'rain' is a little to low, atleast for my speakers.

Good Look, that's the type of shit I need to know. I just recorded it with headphones and haven't heard it on real speakers. I tried to fix it with some bass boost so check it out and see if the kick sounds any better.

i like this beat, i like them keys & horns in the back... from what i here the bass is still a just a little too loud, don't get me wrong though i love them thumps, i notice that when i turn up the bass boost the vocals get pushed back a little... maybe just tone the bass down a just a little more & maybe just put little more crack on that snare... it's just some minor mixing to do..peace 8)

I can hear it quite well now. You could layer it with a quite analog sounding kick. Something that gives it a more natural feel.

By the way, you got msn?

Ok, sounds good. Now people can't hear the original but you were right about it not hitting, now it pounds 'cause I boosted the bass a lot at 60hz. It would sound better with another snare that has a sharp crack to go with the new bass.

this is SICK man
probably my favourite beat you've posted so far
i love the original Blackalicious track, you've definitely matched the vibe and added your own twist. the pianos are crazy

in terms of mixing, the horns seem to swamp the vocals a little. but otherwise it has a good 'muted' feel

what did you use to EQ the bass at 60hz?

Yeah, I had the beat a was playing acapellas through from my mac and the Blackalicious seemed to fit so I found the bpm online which was only 2 bpm off and I changed the beat tempo since I never beatmatch vocals like I should. With the jazz sample at the end that was already at the same bpm as the pattern so I decided to switch the samples but it didn't really match how I eq'ed the vocals to fit the piano sample but it's cool.
