I'm beginning to use the SP404 live, and after the show my band played last night I think that sending all my samples through a keyboard amp while my bandmate plays a keyboard and looper through it as well was kinda too much for the amp to handle. Was wondering if anyone has ever tried splitting the audio out between two amps? My idea is to put higher end sounds through a keyboard amp and low end stuff through a bass amp. I think I'm going to use ableton and just load all my samples in and pan them left or right depending on which amp they are gonna go through and then put em all back on the SP.

Other option is running my SP through whatever PA system the venue we are playing at has, alongside our mics, but if there's no monitors facing back at me, which there usually aren't, then I'm worried I won't be able to monitor the volume of the samples as well as I would if they were coming out of amps that are positioned behind me.

Any sound advice out there? (pun intended)

I have been thinking about this too. I think the best solution is to sell yout keyboard amp and buy your own portable PA with two speakers like this or something:

It's basically an amp, with stereo separation, multiple inputs, low and high frequency drivers etc...

yeah, most people running music electronics do it through a PA, with the exception of keyboard players in a band (because band players are used to using amps)

mixer-> PA gives you

A) as mentioned above - you gain access to the stereo field. the mixer allows you to pan individual channels as well.

B) eqs on the mixer allow you to separate different tracks into different frequency bands so they dont add up into mud

If you want to stick with the amp, adding a mixer will still help you to separate the individual tracks into their own space using eq. - or you can resample your samples with eq effect included.
