can i control my 404 with a midi footpedal? shine a light.

"midi foot pedal" is a bit vague. You need to see what type of midi messages can be sent from the pedal and read pp 40-42, 50-51 of the 404 manual to see what messages are recognized. The 404 has pretty limited midi implementation- you can trigger all the pads (including velocity), sync the 404 to an external midi clock (it will respond to midi start/stop) and from what I can tell that is most of it. Just search "midi control" - the topic has been very well covered. I found over 170 results in the 404 forum.
