Tell your girlfriend to shut up    KIDDING!

We need more info to help you. You've got to systematically troubleshoot. Identify the source of the noise starting from (possibly bad) cables all the way to your electric socket, in which case you may need a conditioner such as

Which SP are you rockin?

check your soundcard settings, start unpluggin shit, like everything and if you hit record and still hear a buzzing then you can pinpoint it easier. my soundcard can select which input i wanna record. like line in, mic and all that, if you recording through the mic in then you might be getting some buzz, ive had that before, then mics got that 20db boost shit that really sucks. play with your soundcard.

Are you talking "room noise" or a noise that appears on your recorded track?
Most computers make noise, which is why when doing acoustic recording (vocals) you should have the mic as far away from the computer as possible or have the computer in a sealed cabinet or another room.

When your tracking out your beat... make sure you input source button is turned off, because if it is on, a lot of unwanted noise will be coming from your turntable whether it is grounded or not.... Also keep in mind that when u use compression effects... the humming can get even louder.

Ive also noticed that on the 606, some noise comes from the usb cable...this may be ur source of noise...as for how to stop it?.. i have no idea, maybe try diff usb cables? recorded all ur samples to the highest possible volume without redlining to make the background noise even less significant? i dunno
