Ok so i have this idea, have not tried it yet. But different physical structures affect sound in different ways. SO say i want to sample a bassline from a song, blast it from my monitors, close the door and travel upstairs. Hook up a mic to the 404 and sample the sound, since only the bass frequencies are making it up to me... or High end stuff like play it through a metal pipe and record it at the other end... at work and bored  anyone ever try this?

ha that sounds like a crazy idea but i think it would work! back in school my teacher showed us how to make snares brighter by playing the snare track through a little speaker on the snare itself and miking the tinny vibration of the skin on the drum. i guess that's a similiar thing. well, maybe not but recording the low freqs in another room i think is a good idea.

assuming the mic on the 404 is as sensitive as the 202, i would think it would be quite easy.
