Does anyone use this program ?
Recycle things and then dump to 404 or is it a big hassle...

it definitely gets the job done very well

its just kind of lame that they charge so much for it, when it should be a part of the main program

i would do a google for beat slicer, im sure by now theres a free alternative, especially if you are only interested in loading it into the SP

I use recycle to chop stuff,

one thing it misses that I'd really like - an automatic function that compared all the slices youve made and deleted duplicates of the same sound

ya it is a bit expensive-i'm gonna look around for a free one.
I should spend more time doing it by ear but the time isn't there lately..

cartesia-do you use to chop loops and put the slices on seperate pads or just to tighten up a loop for one pad ?

theres a way to do it with audacity

you set segment markers i forget what they are called, its a tad confusing but it lets you export the segments individually as i recall

alright i figured it out :D

open your beat into audacity

go to project and "add new label track"

now put your cursor right before each hit and hit "control b/ control m" its one of those it will say which one in the project menu under "add new label"

the only thing is you cant move the labels, only create new ones

so give some room so you can adjust with the SP start end knob if you need

then once you label each beat

go to file---export multiple

and it saves each slice individually and in a alphanumeric order, so you could even import them as is

you may want to make sure its the same sample rate and everything as the sp allows however

GET SLICING :D
