I picked up an SP-303 secondhand from ebay not too long ago and was extremely pleased with it until I tried to transfer my own drum samples from a SmartMedia card. I've tried three different cards of varying sizes and makes, all formatted the same way, and all with the same sample set, and no dice. UAU shows when you boot the machine up, you select a bank, hit record, and it goes from 100 to 0 in a matter of seconds. After that, there's nothing on playback. I'm at a loss. Am I doing something retarded or is this a common glitch with these machines? I've checked everything I could think of, even the sample rate of the sounds (yes, 44.1khz) and still nothing. Any ideas?

Are you loading .mp3 or .Wav files?

Sounds like the reader in your 303 might be broken. Can you record samples through RCA cables onto banks C/D?

That's what baffles me, I can record to c and d banks. Does boss/roland offer tech support or help with this sort of thing?
