If you're going to sample metal the same rule applies as with every kind of other sample, you will have to search for good sample sources or make your own.

If you're looking for Linkin Park style metal samples, be prepared for a lot of trial and error using time stretching and slicer FX.

Having said that, I can't really point you in the right direction, some artists or bands have more useful sample material in their songs than others... just randomly sample metal won't really work.

the metal parts arent going to be the center of the song as the sample material in hiphop would . just some added percussion from really short samples of death metal gurgles and trudging guitars. and i really wouldnt count linkin park as metal haha.

heres one of the loops

i wasnt looking for sample material so much as other peoples songs that have used metal. although ice T(? or ice cube, i always mix them up) in a metal band is pretty funny though, thanks for that!

Look for a small solo or intro(I always sample them without drums so I can add my own), then chop decently. I don't think any special rules apply for sampling metal

I'm not sure what songs you are thinking of but their first album Meteora definitely is metal. The reason I dropped their name was because of their frequent usage of samples, not whether or not they are 'metal'.

Of course, it's nothing like grindcore or similarly guitar heavy metal stuff...

what BTBAM song are you sampling?? its been a minute since i bumped them, most of there shit is pretty sick, but they had a few songs that used to hit me like some of my favorite jazz or hip hop, i haven't gotten them on my new pod yet so the only song i can think of is shevanel cut a flip, the bass break in the middle of that song is so fuckin out of control especially, when they all come back in over the same riff, have they come out with anything since alaska??
