does anyone know how to resample a sample with an effect over to a new pad...

and does the effect have to be one of the main 5?

or can you choose MFX as well?

This would be a question for the 404 tips section, but no worries. Yes you can resample any of the mfx as well as the 5 button fx. You may only use 1 effect at any giving time. To resample all you do is ready up your sample with the effect the way you like it on the sample. The hold resample and hit record. Select a pad destination of where you would like the sample to be. Hit record to start the resampling. Hit the pad with the effected sample then hit record again to stop the recording. you may do this as many times as you like. I usually keep the original sample, and delete the resamples until I have my final copy (resample a resample with more effects then delete the first resample). have fun, resample with be your best friend.

also keep in mind, when resampling with effects the resampled sound might be a little different than you hear as you are resampling. for instance, if you resample from stereo to mono while panning; no change will take place, also when using the compression or isolator the resample can get muddied.

be sure to watch the level peak indicator while resampling.

Yeah that's a good point if you're new to the box, there is some degradation when you resample.
