im lookin for a pair too... and now that my roomie moved out i cant gaffle his anymore. I do have a nice pair of sony earbuds though that cost a grip, but nothing compares to some sony mdr's

i was lookin at those earcandy phones, anyone have a decent pair? Im wondering if they even come close to some mdr's

I love my Sennheiser PX100s. Only 50 bucks, lightweight, very comfortable. After you break them in the sound is stellar. I'm listening to albums I've heard over and over, hearing things I've never heard, like the guys in an ensemble telling each other what piece they're about to play, or what misunderstood lyrics were actually saying. A steal for the price.

out of interest, anybody tried a pair of WESC headphones? i always wondered if they actually sound decent or if they just look good.
I hear good things about Sennheisers range....sound isolation and fair flat (uncoloured) sound

At the moment I'm using Stanton DJ 2000 headphones... quite good and not crazy expensive.

Probably not 100% accurate when it comes to sound quality, but they work fine for me.

if you want awesome monitoring but no princess buns try some on-ear phones like a sennheiser HD25SP. people are saying they're crazy awesome but a lil pricey compared to others

I had some Sennheisers, but they broke rather quickly actually. I can be rough with my headphones tho.. so perhaps it was my own fault.

you can't go wrong with the industry standard- Sony MDR 7506

i've been rocking the same pair since 1997 and they still work perfectly. the ear pads are starting to wear out but they are replaceable.
every studio and radio station uses them because they're accurate and they can take a beating. mine have been tossed around, dropped and otherwise mistreated but sound the same as the day i bought them.
