OK so this may or may not be a noob question but I was trying to find a way to sequence loops on the SP and had no success.

What I wanted to do was having multiple drum loops and be able to switch between them always keeping with the loop end, kinda like what you do when you switch between loops on Ableton Live.

So I figured I could do the same on the SP using patterns, as they switch between them using the same method (when you trigger one, it waits for the current pattern to end) but it's a pain to get the in/out marks right on the spot, especially because i'm using HEAVY hi-hat spam and you ALWAYS notice the smallest glitch on the transition.

Is there any other way to do this on a SP? Is there any way to record patterns with automatic in/out marks?

you can try cutting your loop in half and then sequencing it,

i like looping on the sp sequencer.

set the tempo , then put your loop on the sequencer with 4 qtz.

and adjust the tempo untill it matches your loop. both loops with have to be the same tempo though. didnt understand your question good enough, but a little bit.

not sure what hi hat spam is... but like bonkers said, are you quantizing to quarter notes when you are recording the drum loop into the pattern sequencer? this will assure the loop starts right when its supposed to. also like he said try time stretching the loops by one or two bpm if they're still not fitting properly in pattern mode

All the loops are the same tempo. 130BPM, 8 bars, here's one of them

and if I miss the tempo on the loop switch by the slightest margin, it's always noticeable :(

I still haven't tried your method, guys, but I think that might be better even if I have to try and miss dozens of times until I get it right, rather than doing it live like I use to do now.

Cheers both of you!
